Okay
so my new Companion is Sister Gines from St. George and she's great! Training
is pretty fun. I guess. Haha I have no clue what I'm doing but it's working.
German is hard and I pretend a lot but I mean I know more than I thought I did
and when you have to, it comes and when it doesn't you just smile and say 'ja' a
lot haha.
So right after [I got my new companion] we were running with the train we met this guy Pablo. He walks up to us and he's like. "do you guys speak English"? and we were like, "yeah man" and he asked us about some train and we were all "I dunno man, sorry". He said, "it's okay". Then [he] asked what we were doing here so we talked about it and he was into it and he's like, "yeah man I'm leaving for a week but I'll be back next week" and he wanted to meet with us. So he gave us his number and we are going to call him next week so that was legit, sister Gines was here for like five minutes and we already had a new contact!
On Thursday, we visited Schwester Bösebeck and helped her put those stickers on her scriptures. Naja [Well], it was pretty fun. We printed out a trillion flyers for English and German courses [that we offer at the institute] and have been stuffing mailboxes like crazy so that's fun.
So on Saturday we were getting ready to leave to prepare for the baptism [I will have pictures next week] and we locked our keys in the apartment so we had to try and get it open with a card and we were working on that for a solid hour and we got nothing so that was lame. So we went to prepare for the baptism and ended up calling half the ward to find the spare key and so we eventually found it which was super lucky.
Well
Rene's baptism was wild but it was so good! I've learned that I know more
German than I thought but mostly I just smile and pretend hahahaha. I did decide I'm never planning one over a transfer again because
it was kinda a mess but it went and that's what matters. He loved it. The ward
gave him a triple combination and a Gospel principles book and we gave him a copy
of pmg [Preach My Gospel] so he is so excited about that.
Today for p-day we didn't do much. We pretty much just kinda hung out really. But it was good!
