August 14, 2016 - Freiberg - Überzieschuhe

Hallo!

So this week was pretty great! I've been in Freiberg still and it has been wonderful! Tuesday was super cool. It was Harvest day which was so cool. We all fasted that we would find a new investigator so we did so. I didn't find anyone personally but we talked to lots of people and invited them to the temple. The only problem was pretty much the entire city of Freiberg already knows about it so that was rough. But it was pretty fun because it was different. 

President and Sister Fingerle were in town and we were out and Sister Fingerle calls and wanted to go finding with us so that was different. I went first and it was actually pretty fun. We went up to the university and talked to students there. It was fun except our focus was inviting people to the temple and literally everyone in Freiberg already knows about it so that was rough. But we talked to a ton of people and it was super fun.

So here at the temple we have been working with the video rooms and also we have been doing shoe covers, or the Überzieschuhe. So that has been super fun, and on Saturday as I was working in the video room and a ton of members from Leipzig which was so exciting, then Rene showed up! He got so excited to see me so as soon as the video was over I left for lunch but instead of eating I ran over to the front of the temple and jumped in line with Rene and the rest of the ward and I got to go through the temple with him. Back in Leipzig we went on a temple trip before the open house and he loved it so going inside with him was the best day of my life. He loved it so much and it was the best surprise ever. 

This week we get our trainees and return to our areas so I'm super excited! Well I love you all so much!

June 19, 2017 - Hannover

Oh mannnnn This is crazy!  I have gotten a trillion emails from the mission about finishing and I'm like NOPE haha naja [oh well] its okay.  It'll be cool. Hannover is getting better.  It's going well here.  Still slow which sucks sometimes but it's picking up.   We had two investigators at church yesterday and it was really cool.  One just kinda showed up and wanted to check it out.  So we sat with her and helped explain everything, and she stayed for all three hours and loved it.  Sister Koch said she was just freuing herself [rejoicing] during my talk in sacrament meeting. (I'm so bad at giving talks in church it is terrifying.)  Anyway, she was really excited during Sunday  school and relief society too.  She even stayed for the Elder's investigator's baptism and loved it.  She's coming next week too.  And the other investigator was a lady we have been trying to contact forever.  And she is friends with a m...

June 26, 2017 - Hannover-Whitewashing & Hildesheim Castle

Hey friends!   So I don't have a ton of time today, so it's gonna be short, and it's been a while but it's been really wonderful here in Hannover!  We have been working hard and it's getting there.  White washing is rough sometimes, and it gets discouraging when you don't have anyone to teach, but I have really learned here that the Lord watches out for you and blesses you in ways sometimes you don't recognize until later.   We have had a lot of cool experiences and a lot of fun as well.  Since I don't have a lot of time, I just want to let you all know how much the Lord cares for you and is there for you even when you may not notice until later.  But He is there! May 29, 2017 - Köthen - 👻👻👻

So this week was pretty busy, mostly with the normal stuff, also consisting of Zone Pday in Leipzig, getting insanely sunburnt, the normal appointments each week, biking 17 Kilometers on Christi Himmelfahrt  [Ascension day], because of an appointment and the train not opening when we needed it to and getting taken to the next dorf, and MLC (Mission Leader Conference) in Berlin.  We had a great time this week, and I don't have much time to write, but I do have pictures.  FYI We also received our transfer calls, and I will be going to Hannover with Sister Koch! I'm pretty excited! I'm honestly heartbroken to leave Köthen and getting transferred so often is actually really hard, but I'm excited anyway! Well I have you all love!
